International Mr. Leather (IML) is a multi-day conference and competition celebrating the leather, kink, fetish, and BDSM communities. Established in 1979, IML is held annually in Chicago over Memorial Day weekend, drawing thousands of contestants and spectators from around the world. As of 2024, over 2,100 contestants from 27 countries have competed.

International Mr. Leather (IML) is proud to welcome all leather community members and those who wish to learn more about the leather community, and we acknowledge that we have a responsibility to provide a safe environment.   Additionally, IML welcomes, affirms, and celebrates diversity in all its forms. Every member of the IML Organization is bound by this code of conduct and will respect and honor the dignity of every person who participates in IML Weekend. We require adherence to this code of conduct as a condition of attending IML. This code of conduct applies to all participants – trustees, staff, volunteers, vendors, contestants, judges, contractors, and attendees – of the IML Weekend.   All participants of IML acknowledge that they are attending a sex-positive event that contains some sexually explicit content. All participants of IML must be at least 21 years of age.
